Overall though this PS4 exclusive has a place in the library of any fan of the action RPG genre.It’s an exciting time for PlayStation Gear, as we launch not only two Horizon Zero Dawn exclusive concept art prints but a whole line-up of premium figurines too. Completed sets can be brought to special collectors in Meridian Kudiv, Cantarah, and the Studious Palas for rewards. The game is not without flaws, some of the facial animations are a little awkward, and it borrows mechanics from a variety of other franchises. Collectible items include Metal Flowers, Banuk Figures and Ancient Vessels. It addresses dependence on technology, moral values, religious fanaticism, class system mechanics, and a variety of other iss ues. It features a strong female protagonist that is consistently presented as such. The game makes several poignant social statements without throwing them in your face. HZD has recently been updated to include a NG+ mode and an additional tier of difficulty for those seeking a greater challenge. The combat is challenging and strategic through most of the game however near the end, with full upgrades and end game equipment, it became significantly easier. The characters, environment, and story remained interesting over the complete course of my ~65 hour play through.
I just completed the platinum trophy for Horizon Zero Dawn and it was compelling from beginning to end. Horizon Zero Dawn is a satisfying experience
